Blog 6: time travel to the future

If I could go to the future, I would go to China, United States and Chile, maybe to 2070 because by then 50 years will have passed. I want to travel fifty years so I can see how countries change in relation to climate. The first two countries because they are the most polluting and Chile because I’m curious to see how my own country changes.

I really hope that the climate in the future will be better because it’s something we can’t change and because now the "COP 26" is taking place where countries are committing to generate a better future, helping the climate and ourselves. China is known for extreme carbon use just like the United States, and I want to see how they change their cities and factories to be more ecofriendly.

The reasons why I want to travel to Chile in 2070 is because right now people are awake and mobilizing for unfair issues, so the system will have to change, and added to this the new constitution will take place in the next few years.  I really hope for a better reality in terms of gender, climate, political participation, trust in political institutions, access to water, salaries, education, and health.

I probably don’t want to stay because I take advantage of the trip to end my curiosity and I take with me what I will see as inspiration and reason to don’t give up with the present, fighting for a future where I hope that the current and future citizenship will live well and in harmony.

Hello everyone! This time I'm going to talk about my experience learning English at the university. I felt these classes so different, because for many years I had the same English teacher, and I got used to her way of teaching and changing teachers at first it felt strange but then I adapted to this new way of teaching. The use of blogs was something very new for me, because when I was in high school, I wrote shorter things, but this was very useful, and fun because each one had different topics. I think I need to improve my vocabulary and pronunciation, because now with the blogs I noticed that I used the same word repeatedly and with the last video I had problems to pronounce it clearly, and I had to record it many times. I'm trying to improve it by listening to series in English instead of dubbed into Spanish and trying to practice conversations in English or learn the lyrics of the songs I like (since almost all my favorite musical artists sing in English). Blog 4: Post-Graduate Studies

When I was searching my career, I considered studying a master’s program, but for now my only objective is finish the Public Administration career and work for a time, then when I get economic stability probably I study one in regional development, because I am from the sixth regions  and always I saw how other regions had great progress and I will like help with something to my region to get the same. The subject I would like to study is gender mainstreaming, economic and environment. I would love to study outside of Chile because I think the experience will be very helpful, because see the way things work in other countries give ideas to make things better here. I don’t know a specific place where I would like study, because I haven't investigated universities specialized in administration, but I always want to go to Canada, United States, Italy, France, or London so probably if I had the opportunity to study outside of Chile, I would search some place in these countries. ...

Blog 3: Series

Hi everyone! In this blog I will talk about series. I am currently watching “The Good Doctor”. I don’t remember seeing one complete series more than once but sometimes I saw only one episode again of “The Good Doctor” or “The Queen’s Gambit.” Generally, I see series in Netflix. I would recommend “The Good Doctor” because the principal character had autism and it would work to created consciences about this condition. I recommend “The Act” too; it's a short series that you can see in one or two days and the argument is a real history that show us the reality isn’t always what it’s seem. I recommend “The Queen’s Gambit” too because I loved it, is a short series inspired in a book and show the face behind popularity. Currently I’m looking forward for the fifth season of “The Good Doctor”, It’s in air recently and I’m waiting to have time and had many chapters to see together (because I haven’t patience haha), and I want to see “The Crown”, it has four seasons so how I said I’m w...
